Sweet and sour beets AKA Harvard Beets. I do the sauce over direct heat rather than a double boiler.Especially in a sweet and sour sauce

I grew up seeing my mother take beets out of a can or jar and they just did not register with me. Pickled I guess they were? Now fresh beets roasted in the oven are great. I love them that way.What pray tell is wrong with beets, huh.
Never eaten pickled beets. But a big no on canned or jarred beets. I haven't tasted that type for as long as I can remember. But I think it was the texture I did not like.
I have the same food processor. I notice your blade rides high in the bowl. My blade is further down in the bowl. Is that a special pasta blade?
