I'm starting to like chat support much more, for this very reason -- spelling, specifics, audit trail. Too bad lots of places don't use it or make it very clear their agents are jockeying 3-4 conversations at once.
I generally prefer that as well but I've never had luck trying to book an accessible room without taking to a live person.

Hell, I'd much rather do it all online without ever talking to a soul, chat or otherwise. 😒

But, hotels prefer not to give those rooms up unless they absolutely have to.

In the 80's I traveled a lot for work, all over Mississippi, most of Louisiana, East Texas and Arkansas. I never made room reservations, just drove to the job location and only once couldn't get a room where I was to work for a few days. That was Natchez, MS and unknown to me they were doing their annual Pilgrimage thingy. People from all over gathered in Natchez and toured the old homes etc. That one time I had to stay at a place outside of Ferriday, La.

So today I'm setting here reviewing the recipe for New Orleans Remoulade and thinking I now have everything to make it. Nope, still short of Dijon mustard dang it and I walked right by the Grey Poupon yesterday to get something else. Oh well next grocery store trip.

Been there, done that! Thankfully the grocery stores are only 3 miles away in either direction so running out to pick something up isn't too big a deal.

Today's plans are to unload the antique china cabinet we got from my husband's parents as well as what feels like 90% of the things that were crammed in it. She about lost it when my husband told her they weren't all going back in; we have things we'd been wanting to display for years and they were going in the cabinet. He calmed her down by telling her we'd rotate things in and out.

Once all of that is unloaded, I'm going to drag my mother out to sit on the porch while I do some more yardwork. There's a severely overgrown holly bush that I'm going to take the pole chainsaw to see just how far I can cut it back. I'm hoping I can get it to the point it dies. I really hate that bush...

I picked up a box of copper nails to kill off a couple of volunteer trees so I'm going to drive some in the stump. Here's hoping it works. Otherwise it's cut back far enough that I can get some heavy duty tow chains around it, grab my neighbor's F450, throw it in 4wd and rip that thing out.

Last time I tried that the stupid chain broke and snapped back to my tailgate. Works better if you trench around it and cut some main roots.

Any product containing 24-D ( Crossbow or Crossroads) mixed with diesel fuel and poured on the stump will kill just about anything.

Grocery run finished. I was mainly for catfish nuggets which have been priced high enough I wouldn't buy them (my solution to the latest round of price gouging) had come down over $1/lb, still too much but not far outside the ballpark. I also spotted flat leave parsley (Italian parsley) and grabbed one bunch. Needed it for the remoulade I'll be making this morning but hadn't seen it at the usual places.
So after wasting time on the forums for a while I'll make the remoulade then find something else to do.

Yes to both tilapia and swai. At that time both were competive with catfish. Tilapia currently at $5.99/lb and Swai $7.99/lb. I paid $1.77/lb for the catfish. All three of those fish are farm raised. Two years ago the catfish was $0.99/lb.

I know that feeling all too well! I had to do the late winter / early spring cleanout on my massive rise bush and by the time I was done my arms looked like I'd tried to cuddle a feral cat with a mad on. Didn't help that I was wearing a short sleeved t-shirt..lol

In other news, I've been my mother's personal taxi service, driving to and from doctor's appointments, picking up prescriptions, I even had to take her and one of her dogs to the vet's office. Happily, that's going to be coming to an end soon; her doctor cleared her to drive effective tomorrow. We've agreed she has to stay local for the first 5 trips, then she can take off and go anywhere she wants or needs to.

But today I need to drop her off for a doctor's appointment, back across town to pick up dog food for the hairy monster, swing by the posh grocery store to pick up a few empty icing buckets and lids, pick her up and stop at the grocery store on the way home because I've got no idea what we're having for dinner.

I've been wife's chauffeur for the last 9 yrs when I felt it necessary to stop her driving. She'd already backed into the house and a neighbor's fence, I didn't want anything happening on the road. She's only gotten worse and will continue to do so. This year she has agreed to surrender her drivers license and get an ID. Today is hair bender day next week my dentist appt then her dentist appt couple days later then on Sat to a park for #2 great grandson 1 yo birthday. It'll be a gabfest for the adults and I don't even like going to these things. We'll be the oldest there and almost totally outside their circle. Long afternoon.

1 yo don't do nothing but sleep and like I said except for daughter and granddaughter we're totally out of that circle. Besides Saturday is the only day I normally don't have to drive anywhere. You probably know as well as I do when you are a caregiver you must have time for yourself.
