I keep seeing the notification popup (do you want to turn notifications on?) on my iPhone, but I can’t make it go away. “No” and “never” appear to be links, but they do nothing

Help!

I see it also. Push Notifications. I think there is a place in account settings or preferences to accept or not. When I registered I said No. BTW what is a push notification?

...and that was disabled from the day I created my account. That, plus the popup not reacting to my clicks led me to post.

This is mine (it was blocked at my reg'n date by default). Even though it's blocked AND checked, I get no "pop ups" either way.

Mine wasn't blocked but I must have missed the check box so I unchecked it. I didn't get the pop up when I logged on this time but noticed in LEN's post that it was blocked. I enabled notifications and got a pop up asking if I wanted to allow or block push notifications. I clicked block and now the button says they are blocked.

The push notifications were only enabled today.

The problem @Old Gnome is experiencing is almost always related to an ad blocker. Here are the steps to get it to accept your input and get it to go away as it should; it does require you to disable your ad blocker, just for a minute or two.

disable your ad blocker
log out
log back in
enter your choice when the pop-up comes back up
turn your ad blocker back on

If this doesn't work, let me know, and I'll look into it further in the morning.

Not all ad blockers cause this problem. 🤷

It really depends on the forum. Another forum that I'm on has a high percentage of members that use their vehicles to make a living and are on the road most of the time. They post when they have downtime and the majority use their phones.

I use a combination of desktop, tablet and phone; all depends on what I'm doing at the time.

I no longer type as well with my thumbs, so I prefer my laptop, but I’m known to type lengthy messages on my phone.

I miss my Blackberry’s keyboard.
