EDIT: I forgot the 1 1/2 cups of ricotta that gets spread on the
dough first, so sorry

Pizza Rustica Bread/Stromboli
Made this yesterday..
I thought why not! I make every other kind of bread
Why not Pizza Rustica Bread. This is traditionally made
as a big meat pie.

Here’s what I did:
Spread out 1 pizza dough to 16 x 20”
first spread 1 1/2 cups ricotta on dough, then
Chop & spread onto dough:
1 1/4 cup ham
2 crumpled cooked sausages
1/2 chop chopped pepperoni
3/4 cup sliced & chopped Genoa salami
1/2 cup chopped provolone cheese
A drizzle of EVOO on top of the meat.
Then I scrambled 1 egg and drizzled it all over,
drizzled a little bit of EVOO all over the meat
Then lastly I put on :
1/2 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 - 3/4 cup grated mozzarella.
sprinkle of Italian seasoning, sprinkle of garlic powder,
and a sprinkle of black pepper..

I jelly rolled it and lifted it up stretching it as I lifted it.
I measured it out at 30” hence the need to make it into
a crescent shape.

Then brushed on olive oil; made slits and sprinkled with
Sesame seeds.

Baked at 350° for about 35 minutes.
Then leaving on the middle shelf in the oven,
I put on the broiler to brown it up and watched it carefully.

Stromboli, that's what I couldn't remember. Know how to make it but forgot the name. Folks around here don't know how to eat, all you can get for genoa salami, sopressata, etc is thin see through slices in 6 oz packages. I've gone to butcher shops that advertise the full line of Boar's Head deli meats looking for these to buy sliced to my desired thickness. They didn't have them.

Do you have a Publix? They have all those and more. In the deli. I can get Genoa as easy as bologna here. But to get Soppressata I go to the boars head stand (specialty) in the middle of the isle (near the deli and bakery) and fine most everything.
I even found chorizo. But it tastes nothing like the chorizo I grew up on. Spanish chorizo.
Where do you live? I'm in SC and can get most everything I need. "Most" is the keyword.
No Publix in Texas that I know of.
