I do, I make many kinds of pizza…I have already posted my 45 second food processor pizza
recipe…one thing that I have discovered this summer is making pizza on the bbq…the bbq can get
super hot simulating a pizza oven in the pizza parlors…
I’ll start of with my BBQ Pizza Bianca ( anchovies optional, I add them to the pizza after it comes out
of the oven or BBQ..

note: put on the bbq an inverted cast iron skillet and then put the pizza pan on top of the cast iron skillet.

Pizza Bianca on the BBQ
I love making pizza on the bbq…
We just put down a cast iron grill
On top of the existing grill (we have from
our old bbq)
we use our 9 x 16 “ cast iron
Grill that came with my stove.

First, I very lightly oiled the cast iron grill.
Then stretched the dough out
all over the grill and put it on the hot
grill for five minutes with the lid closed.

Then carried it inside and spread
Extra virgin olive oil all over, two
chopped garlics and Italian parsley.

In a bowl I put a heaping cup of ricotta
3 tablespoons half and half (to make it easily
spreadable) more chopped parsley, about 1/2
Teaspoon of Italian seasoning, black cracked pepper
and three heaping Tablespoons of pecorino Romano
cheese…
Spread this all over the top, sprinkled more
Pecorino Romano all over and then generous
amount of grated mozzarella…

Then we put it back on the BBQ for twelve minutes with lid closed.
It was cooked perfectly…after we cut it for our plates we
put on the Anchovies and red pepper flakes…
The cut pieces shown are the two pieces that I ate. 🤗

This pizza was soo delicious…the head groundskeeper
Said it was the best white pizza he ever ate…
note the pic of the bottom of the pizza, how
nice and brown it is.

Note: no salt as the grating cheese is salty.

Cooked on the cast iron grill it slides right off…

We don’t cook the anchovies cause the get dried out and
taste more salty. We like them fresh out of the jar.
pics to follow…

The one time I tried cooking pizza on my Weber kettle I used a pizza stone. I guess I got it too hot. After 5 minutes the top was perfectly done, the bottom perfectly burnt. Trashed it.

Try putting an inverted cast iron frying pan on the grill first and then placing the pizza on the frying pan and closing the top…it only takes about 12 minutes.

Here’s another BBQ pizza made in my 9” x 13” cast iron grill.

We Put a 12 “ iron skillet on my bbq grill first and then put the
Pizza on top of the 12” skillet…(to protect it from the direct heat
of the bbq flame) …then covered the top and baked it for about 12 minutes…

(The last pic is how it looked before going on the BBQ) it has everything on it except the mozzarella…
After it cooked for 12 minutes, I then put on the basil and mozzarella…closed the lid for a few more minutes until the mozzarella melted. ( the first pic is after the Mozzarella melted and it was finished.)

I’d say the oven temperature
was between 400 - 425° we lowered the temp after we put
the mozzarella on.
I can’t tell you how awesome and crispy the crust came out…
it’s going to be my go to Pizza oven from now on for the spring, summer and fall months. No more hot oven, heating up the house for pizza!

How about Pizza with pepperoni and hot pepper flakes Princess…
My pepperoni pizza made in a 12” cast iron skillet. I sprayed the pan with corn oil spray
and it lifted right out onto a dish. I first baked the crust for 5 minutes, then took it out and put
the sauce, pepperoni, hot pepper flakes, garlic powder, salt and grating cheese…baked it for 20 minutes @375* then put on the mozzarella cheese and baked it 5 minutes more. It was delicious and spicy…
note: I usually cook pizza @ 400 - 425* but I already had an Irish soda bread in the oven @375*

If you like mushrooms…make mushroom pizza, no sauce, just mozzarella, swiss cheese and pecorino roman cheese, then caramelized onions and lastly on top sautéed mushrooms sprinkled with hot pepper flakes and more graded Pecorino romano cheese. It was delicious!

Cream cauliflower pizza with three cheeses, mozzarella, provolone,
and blue cheese …It was awesome…I first blanched the cauliflower
cut it up and fried it in a bit of oil, until it was browned…then added
some half and half with some corn starch mixed in, salt and pepper and chopped parsley.
( I forgot to add the cayenne pepper)

This is one of the best pizzas that I ever made. First after stretching
out on the cookie sheet I brushed a smidgen of olive oil on top
and put it in the oven for a few minutes before putting the topping on.

One you make pizza dough in the food processor…there is all kind of pizza that you can experiment with…here is upside down pizza…you build it upside down …starting in the casserole dish with mozzarella then pepperoni or sausage or meatball… then sauce and lastly pizza dough…after baking you turn it upside down in your plate and dive in!

...I made three ...one is sausage, one is mushroom & onion, and one is just spinach ricotta and mozzarella ( no sauce on the spinach one)

Some more homemade pizza, with my 45 second dough
I call it Overload Pizza...it has fried sausage, sliced pepperoni,
fried onions, fried mushrooms, pimentos, sun dried tomatoes,
kalmata olives, mozzarella, sliced swiss cheese and graded Parmigiana
cheese, hot pepper flakes, garlic salt, and black pepper. It weighed
a ton...and it was scrumptious.

Ok, you you get the idea that I make every kind of pizza known to man.

Here‘s one with a side of fresh spinach and strawberry salad.

The pizza has Ricotta and Creamed Spinach with pecorino
Romano cheese, mozzarella, and Monterey Jack cheese.

The Mozzarella and Jack cheese goes on the pizza the last
five minutes. The creamed spinach ( 12 oz bag of frozen chopped spinach)
is made with butter, half and half and milk and 2 Tbsp of pecorino romano cheese,
salt/pepper and cayenne pepper…I used one cup of Ricotta for the
pizza.

This wouldn’t be complete without Grandmas Pizza

One time we ordered a grandmas pizza, it was very good, I said to my guy
I can make that myself even better ...and I did.
I made it with my 45 second pizza dough..

After spreading it out in cookie sheet, make thumb prints so that
the sauce fills in the indentations...but a thin layer of sauce...then grading
cheese, chopped parsley and chopped mozzarella...then any topping
you want ( I used fried onions and mushrooms...then put the rest of the
sauce on top with more graded cheese and chopped parsley.
I baked it at 375* for about 25 minutes.

note, just make your favorit marinara sauce…chop the plum tomato’s with a
potato masher a bit, so that they are lumpy on the pizza top...also the mozzarella goes on after the sauce and the topping of your choice go on - on top of the mozzarella.

I’ve included a pic of the dough with indentations made in it for the sauce to go into the indentations..
