This is a delicious cake, it ages well and tastes even better the next day and the day after
store in fridge…I cut the recipe in half and used my small bunt pan to make it.
It is really a special occasion cake…if you make it for company make the full recipe. 👍

I made a Lime Mint Strawberry pound cake.
I halved the recipe and used my small
bunt pan. I also made a glaze for the outside
with about a cup of confectionery sugar about
a tablespoon of yogurt and a little vanilla.
I used regular yogurt. I greased it thoroughly
with crisco and floured the pan…

The jelly ran down the sides, so, I knew it was going
To be hard to un-mold…I ran the knife around it several
times and said a Hail Mary 😃 and it worked. 👍Yeah! 💕
Also, make sure it is thoroughly cooled down before
Un-molding it. Be sure to grease pan with crisco and dust
with flour.

The half recipe took about 1 hour and 5 minutes @325*
Regular oven…do not use convection bake.
The drizzle of icing kick it up a notch…it is delicious.
Soo moist and yummy.😋

Peanut Butter Cookies.
I have been searching all my life for school cafeteria peanut
butter cookies from many moons ago in my high school days.
I remember the deliciousness of these cookies vividly.
This cookie comes very close…it’s an old crisco can recipe.👍
They bake at 375* for 7 minutes regular oven…
yield 40 yummy cookies. 👍Recipes will be in with the pics.

I also included a half recipe conversion chart for your convenience.

Don't know on the cake but I love peanut butter cookies and I think we have that Crisco book. We have a Crisco cookbook I know.

No excuses, you’re still a curmudgeon.…we are still recouping from Covid.
I haven’t been cooking for a couple of weeks…although, I managed to make eggplant parmigiana and ravioli for the two of us yesterday …it was sure a bummer having to stay ’Home Alone’ yesterday.
Eggplant Parm samiches today…maybe I’ll make some cole slaw to go with it.

Maybe, I've been dealing with wife's progressive neurological disorder for 10 years and it gets to me sometime. This morning she met me in a dark hall didn't see her, I had a cup of coffee in one hand. She's mumbling something, finally figure out she has the TV remote and want the TV turned on. Some days it gets a bit much. Better now the TV is on but I ain't making no cookies today. BTW we have the Crisco "Family Favorite Foods" cookbook. That cookie recipe looks much like the one you posted.

I use All Recipes a lot…never have I ever been disappointed with their recipes. I’m not a big chocolate fan…when I make chocolate chip cookies.
I cut the chocolate chips in half and make up the difference with walnuts.

Wife got a recipe for chocolate chip cookies from a work friend. It never came out right. Cookies always spread out paper thin. I finally found the problem. Too much fat. Needed butter and shortening but different quantities if each. The lady had written down the same amount of each. I think I reduced the shortening rather than the butter. Anyway they came out Ok then.
