Do you like it? Have you ever had it? Or is it a New York dish?
I make Gavalax and want to share it with you guys, but, I’m curious
is there anyone here that likes lox, or is there anyone here that
never had lox?

I don't eat it on a bagel because I don't like bagels but I've had lox. My wife liked to get some for the holidays. Apparently one of the few fancy things they had when she was a girl was a whole side of smoked salmon.

Yes, yes, and yes. Though as New Yorkers have migrated across the US, so has bagels and lox.

I'm a fan of smoked salmon in almost any form.
Then you’ll love my Gravlax…homemade, I make it with 1 to 1 1/2 lbs salmon…I’ll do a post on it.
We have been getting salmon filets for 6.99 a pound lately…

Ocean fish does not sell well at my local Walmart. Almost every time I go in there they've got salmon or cod loins or mahi mahi or tuna steaks marked down. My kids don't like tuna steaks but the freezer has multiple of each of the others in it. Once in a while they even have petite lobster tails.

Never had lox but I do like salmon and I used to make shrimp ceviche regularly during the shrimping season. Don't know why I stopped.

I know at least I have one package…trying to decide what to cook tonight?
thinking of a small meatloaf with mashed potatoes, and cream spinach…
This is a good sign, I feel like cooking again… I need to now feel like cleaning again! …🙄

btw…what are the points for next to our names?

You would love lox. It’s so expensive now…Gavalax is delicious as well..
I’ll try and do a post on it later..I’m sure Steve-O would love it as well.👍
