goulash in the crock pot
Total cooking time about 4 hours..the meat was like
2 hours on high with just the meat and broth
2 hours on low with potatoes, carrots and last 1/2
hour added 1 cup frozen peas
1/2 London broil cut into chunks and added salt, pepper,
paprika and dredged in flour and fried in vegetable oil…
Then removed meat and fried a chopped onion, 2 cloves of garlic
until browned…
Added, 2 1/2 cups water, 2 tablespoon soy sauce, 1 tablespoon
Worcestershire sauce, 1 teaspoon thyme, 1 teaspoon rubbed sage,
1/2 teaspoon salt, black pepper. Simmer on low for about eight minutes…
Place meat and broth in crock pot on high for two hours, lower to low
and add carrots and potatoes and continue cooking for another two hours
( last 1/2 hour added 1 cup frozen peas)…heat up 1/2 cup half and half and
Mix in 1 teaspoon corn starch and add to pot…last minute I added two tablespoons chopped parsley…
I served it with a bit of egg noodles and a side of beet salad at room temperature😋👍
