I'd like to find one of those giant cast-iron "cannibal cauldrons" to use for things like gumbo. Other pots tend to burn.

A homebrew store would be a likely spot to find a stainless version. You may want to think about getting a propane burner with your pot. I've got a 12 quart and the house stove just doesn't adequately heat it. It's too big for one burner.

If you have any Amish or Mennonite communities in your area you could check with them. It might be a little bit pricey but you know it'll last for generations.
