Asian Stir Fried Orange Beef
I used a 1/2 piece of London broil sliced very thin and salted it.
It was very, very tender. Serves 4

This is the recipe from food and wine…I sliced the meat very thin
and salted it and put it in the fridge…later, I followed the directions for coating the meat with 1 teaspoon of baking soda and then about 1/2 cup of corn starch…

I made my own version of this stir fried orange beef …
Here is what I did…I tripled the sauce.
First I made the orange peels from one orange, and wrapped it
in plastic wrap to keep it from drying out.

After I fried the coated beef in stages, I removed it
and removed most of the oil…then I stir fried the orange peel
Until lightly browned, and then added the sauce
And simmered it…

Here is the recipe for the sauce:
6 tablespoons white wine ( in place of saki)
6 tablespoons soy sauce
6 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons honey
Juice from one orange
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons corn starch added to the sauce
Taste sauce for salt.
Black pepper to taste

For the Asian garlic paste …I took 2 tablespoons
Of Chili sauce and one smashed garlic, a couple pinches of
red pepper flakes and mixed It together and mixed it in with
The sauce…

After I added all
the sauce to the wok I added the fried beef and stir fried
It until everything was coated…I then drizzled it with 1 tablespoon
of sesame oil…chopped scallions and sesame seed.
Served with Japanese sushi rice.
